2012. Uncle Gatot. 2D digital painting. Photoshop.

Hi guys, finally i can finished my personal piece. The Uncle Gatot, i took that's name from "Gatot Kaca", who one of heroes from Indonesia Wayang stories. But i painted it with different look, Gatot Kaca getting to older, fatter and rusty then i called him Uncle Gatot :D

Finally, i finished a some 3d stuff after never touched them in a long time,
especially for modeling :)
I created basemesh with maya and sculpted it with zbrush

Menceritakan tentang kisah seorang pemuda yang mendapatkan tanggung jawab untuk melindungi pulau Jawa dari kekuatan jahat yang berasal dari sebuah keris pusaka. Siapapun yang memiliki keris pusaka itu maka pemiliknya akan mendapatkan kekuatan sesuai dengan maksud dan niat pemiliknya.
Animasi 3D ini dibuat oleh saya dan Zaki (mattanee.blogspot.com) selama kurang lebih 5 bulan sebagai proyek tugas akhir kuliah kami.

Kemerdekaan telah dirasakan bangsa Indonesia 63 tahun yang lalu, minggu yang lalu kita masih bisa merasakannya meski tanpa pengorbanan darah dan nyawa dengan perang melawan penjajah. Sejak 10 tahun pencarian jati diri untuk bangsa Indonesi baru dengan reformasinya. Kebebasan yang diperjuangkan telah menghasilkan sesuatu Sebagian dari kita pada saat ini hanya mencucurkan keringat adapun hanya untuk menyambung nyawa atau mengorbankan dirinya ke dalam kehidupan sosial atau juga hanya untuk popularitas. Sebagian yang lain menikmati hanya tinggal menikmati hidup. Sebagian yang lain melihat kesengsaraan hidup saudaranya. Sebagian yang lain rela terinjak-injak dan masih banyak sebagian-sebagian dari manusia Indonesia yang sibuk untuk mewarnai hidup mereka. Indonesia yang semakin lama semakin tua.
Begitu juga dengan usia kita, begitu kita tak merasakan cepatnya waktu berlalu. Demi waktu...Beberapa hari ke depan untuk umat muslim menikmati berkah atau rahmat atau mungkin siksaan tentang menahan diri dari segala nafsu liar manusia selama sebulan.

Peralihan Jaman begitu terasa jika kita mengingatingat apapun yang terjadi pada kita pada masa lalu dan masa mendatang. Mulai mencari arti mengapa kita hidup atau hanya menikmati usia yang masih memberi kesempatan kita hidup. Selamat merayakan kemerdakaan dan selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa bagi umat Islam.
